Privacy policy

This policy covers taptiptools.com. It is run by TAPTIP INVESTMENT LTD ("we"). Questions or requests: hello@taptipzm.com.

What we collect, and why

• Pages you visit. Our web server records each request: the page address, your IP address, your browser type and the time. The numbers you type into a calculator are part of the page address, so they are recorded too. We use these records only to run and protect the site, and they are deleted automatically after 14 days.
• Two necessary cookies. One keeps your visit working and one protects forms against misuse. Both expire after two hours. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
• Payroll files you upload. A file you upload to the PAYE calculator is read on our server to work out the results, then thrown away. We do not save it or write its contents to any log, and the spreadsheet we send back is not kept or cached.
• Emails you send us, for example to report a wrong figure. We keep them as long as we need to answer you.

We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or use analytics services.

Where it is kept

The site runs on a server rented from Hostinger in Germany, in the European Union, so the records above are kept outside Zambia. Hostinger stores them on our behalf and may not use them for anything else. Fonts and images are served from our own server.

To show exchange rates for some countries, our server asks ExchangeRate-API for the latest rates. No information about you is sent to them.

Your rights

Under Zambia's Data Protection Act, 2021, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Email hello@taptipzm.com; we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and its date.
